The Second Grade Product Fair was a huge success!  The students had a lot of fun being producers and consumers.  I am very impressed by all the amazing products that were made.  The students were able to bring home some amazing products as well!

2nd Grade Product Fair

2nd Grade Product Fair

Date: Tuesday, May 22nd

As part of our Social Studies unit on Economics, we will be having a 2nd Grade Product Fair. Mrs. Allen’s, Mrs. Peet’s, and Mrs. Bailey’s classes  will be traveling by school bus to Buffalo Trail Elementary School on Tuesday, May 22nd for the product fair.  Please read, sign, and return the attached permission slip by Friday, May 18th.


The students will bring their 5 products to sell to the students at Buffalo Trail and will be given the opportunity to buy products from Buffalo Trail students.  All students will be using fake money to buy and sell.

Absolutely NO food items!!

Products should be made from everyday items, recycled objects, or cheap craft materials.  The  students will price their own items to be either $1, $2,  or $3 to "sell". (We will be using fake money.)

The students will be making advertisements for their products in class.  These advertisements will be used to help sell their products to students at Buffalo Trail Elementary.  The students will also be given the opportunity to shop for items they want to purchase.  Each student will be give $5 of fake money to spend.
