First Day of SECOND grade!

We had a great first day of second grade!  It was so nice to meet all the students and hear all the stories about summer break.  Today we went through supplies, got to know each other, and learned the classroom rules and routines.  The day flew by!  I'm looking forward to working with and getting to know all the students in the class!

We are in need of colored printer paper.  I usually have between 4 and 5 word study groups based on ability.  I try to copy each groups word study words in a different color to avoid confusion for the students.  We still need GREEN copy paper, BLUE copy paper, and PINK copy paper.  Thanks in advance!

A lot of information was given at Back to School Night last evening. After reading through the information that was sent home please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may still have!

Room Parent

Our class is in need of a room parent to organize and plan classroom parties.  We usually have 3 parties a year.  A Fall Harvest Party around October 31st, a Valentine's Day Party around February 14th, and an End of the Year Party at the end of the year.  If you are available, please let me know as soon as possible.  We will be unable to have these fun events without a room parent to organize, plan, and collect money and/or food and drink items.

I'm excited to start a new school year!  It's going to be a great one!
