Afternoon Groups

* Next week (June 1st- June 4th) will be the last week of reading and math groups in the afternoon.

* June 7th through June 15th- students will be responsible for completing their playlists.

PUMA OLYMPICS

Hello Pinebrook Families! PE is holding a Puma Olympics, DL and Hybrid style!  

WHEN? May 28th  - June 10th 

WHERE? During scheduled PE times and in your home whenever you please!

WHAT? Students will select from a choice board, of various PE challenges to complete on their own or with the family. These challenges have a high focus on social and emotional health which, we all know, is super important this year! Three classes in each grade level will earn a CLASS TROPHY for the highest participation points (1st, 2nd, 3rd place). 

HOW? 

DL – Beginning May 28^th, DL PE classes will be completing some choice board activities LIVE with their PE Teachers.

Hybrid - Beginning May 28th, students who have in- person PE will be completing some of the Puma Olympics choice board activities during PE time. If they complete during PE time, the PE teachers will log that specific activity for the student so it can be scored.

How do you participate as a family at home?  (Hybrid and DL) - Periodically ask about and check your child’s “On Your Own” asynchronous choice board on the PE Schoology page for activities that can be completed at home with family. These activities can be completed ANY TIME that is good for the family up until June 10^th. When completed, help your child, if needed, click the “Puma Olympic Score Sheet” to check the activities you were able to complete. That’s it!

Choice Boards and Puma Olympic Score Sheet will be posted on Schoology pages beginning MAY 28th. Look out for them! 

Winners will be announced June 11th!

CINNABON PICK UP

Everyone loved the Cinnabon pick up earlier this year, so the PTA decided to bring it back for spring!  In addition to the full-size rolls, you can order mini-bons, bon bites, and even a heart-shaped box with a special Mother’s Day message!

Pick up is Saturday, May 8 from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the Pinebrook Bus Loop!

MAP

MAP testing will be taking place next week, April 27th-April 30th. Please make sure you check your email for the days and times your child will be testing. In that email is also the diagnostic check for you to run on your child's computer. Make sure to complete this before their testing day. 

NO AFTERNOON  GROUPS WITH MRS. PEET.

** On the afternoons that your child is MAP testing, they will not be responsible for completing their afternoon playlist. There is one playlist for Tuesday and Wednesday and one playlist for Thursday and Friday. Whichever day your child is not testing, they will complete the playlist.

Report Cards

On Monday, April 19th you will be able to view your child's report card in ParentVue at 4:00pm!

MAP TESTING

We will be having our end of the year MAP testing the week of April 26th. Unlike the other two testing periods, we will be completing these assessments in the afternoon during the student's asynchronous time. Therefore, there will be NO AFTERNOON GROUPS that week. When the time gets closer, you will be given a schedule of which TWO DAYS your child will need to log on to our google meet in the afternoon for their assessment. The testing window will start at 1:00 pm.
