A letter was sent home today in your son/daughter's red folder about the 2nd Grade Economics Fair. Students need to make 6 items which will be sold with fake money to students at Buffalo Trail Elementary School. The students at Buffalo Trail will be making items for students at Pinebrook to purchase with fake money. Items sold can be $1, $2, or $3. Each student will get to spend $5. This will all be done with fake money. I discussed and showed students pictures of items that were sold in previous years at the Economic Fair. If you look on google images and type 2nd grade economics fair ideas, a bunch of different ideas will pop up. Students are encouraged to be creative and to make something that they think other students their age might be interested in purchasing.
