Happy Friday!!
STEAM day on Monday was a huge success and a lot of fun! Thank you to all the families who donated supplies so we could have this fun filled day!
Biography Buddies
Next week, we will begin our writing unit on biographies. Over the weekend, please brainstorm with your child who they would like to research and write about. I will be asking the students on Monday who they would like to research. We will be doing all of the writing in school. We will also be doing research and getting books out of the library next week to help with our writing. The At Home piece- is creating a Biography Buddy. On Monday, a cut out will come home that each student needs to decorate to look like the person they are writing about. That's the only piece required to complete at home! If you would like to help your child research at home that's also fine! Biography Buddies will be due- Friday, March 23rd to display in the hall!
Read-a-Thon
Pinebrook's Read-a-Thon started on, Monday, February 26th! Please sign your child up on-line using the secret code given on the sheet that came home yesterday. They will receive a prize just for signing up! You will then be able to keep track of how much they read at home and I will keep track of how much they read in school. This is a great reading incentive with great rewards at the end!

A Peek At Our Week
Reading: Students will work on understanding Literary Language.
