Important Dates and A Peek At the Week

Happy Friday!

Multicultural Celebration
Taste – See – Smell – Hear …. the world. We invite you to come to Pinebrook and teach our staff about the traditions and culture of your native country. Please feel free to bring artifacts, games, food sample (with listed ingredients), wear traditional clothing or anything that you would like to share with your child’s teacher and the Pinebrook staff.

Den Rally
We had our first "Den Rally" today!  It's an assembly used to build community and better connect our teachers and students.  Once a month, the whole school will gather in the gym for a short morning assembly.  We  listen to the school news, say the pledge together, recite the "Puma Creed", and learn about social skills.  Please ask your child about our Den Rally.

Lunch Money
If you haven't yet put money on your student's lunch account, you can sign up for an account on www.myschoolbucks.com and manage your child's lunch account on-line.  You can also send a check to school with your student, but our cafeteria staff really encourages www.myschoolbucks.com to avoid lost checks between home and school.  If you need a lunch menu, please visit the school website (www.lcps.org/pinebrook) and click "school menu" in the upper right hand corner.

If you didn't bring your student's school supplies to school yet, please kindly send those as soon as possible.

Happy First Day!!!!

We made it through our first day!  The students took in a lot of information, but did a fantastic job!  We are going to build a strong community and have a wonderful year!

Homework:  Students need to practice and memorize their lunch codes.  These codes will be used at lunch and also to sign into a variety of computer programs.

I will be stapling Raz Kids login and password information in agendas tomorrow.  There have been a couple glitches with adding a few students.  As soon as that is all figured out, I will staple in Reflex log in information.

I'll be in touch again tomorrow with the first regular Friday update.
Thank you so much, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!!

Thank you so much to all the parents who brought their child to Open House and attended Back to School Night last  night. I truly appreciate the time you took out of your busy schedules. A lot of information was discussed at Back to School Night. If you were unable to attend, a packet of information will be coming home with your child tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any questions about what you read.

This will be my main form of communication as to what's going on in the classroom, important dates, topics taught in school that week, assessment dates, and school events. It will be easier if you subscribe to get the email with the Blog update rather than having to remember to check on your own. I update my Blog every Friday afternoon with upcoming events for the following week.

Tomorrow is a big day! I am looking forward to teaching your children this year and watching them grow from now until June! It's going to be a great year! Please reach out through email if you have any questions or concerns!
