Today during math, the students took the Mathematics portion of the MAP test. The Map test stands for Measures of Academic Progress (MAP®). When taking these computerized adaptive tests, the difficulty of each question is based on how well a student answers all the previous questions.
MAP assessments are used to measure a student's growth in Mathematics and Reading. The Fall assessment gathers baseline. The Winter assessment measures progress. The Spring assessment measures the students' growth to that point.
I will discuss more about how your child did on their MAP testing during Parent-Teacher conferences.
We will be taking the Reading portion of the MAP test on Monday.
